ReplyDeleteIf i was having dinner with Franklin D Roosevelt, John F Kennedy, R. Lee Ermy, the guy from FPS Russia, and Plato. I would invite FDR and JFK because they were both presidents during the events in the Cold War that could of lead to WW3. I invited R Lee Ermy because he is a very smart ex- marine and he is very funny in Full Metal Jacket. They guy from FPS Russia would be attending because he is Russian and could give the Russian side to the Cold War, Plato is a very wise man that could of maybe stopped the Cold War and thats why i invited him.
What historical topic would you discuss and what would you and everyone say about the topic?
The historical topic i would be talking about is the Cold War, it is my favorite era in american history because of how close to all out destruction. I think my guest would discuss how scared they were during special situations.
What would you serve for dinner and why?
For dinner i would serve pulled pork sanwiches and ribs slow cooked for 8 hours, because its my favorite type of food
Where would you host the event and why?
I would host the event in my house because i dont realy know where else to host it.
this was fun...i would suggest NOT waiting til last minute!!
ReplyDelete1. If I were having a dinner party, I would have dinner with Hitler, Einstein, Mitt Romney, Great Grandma Boyer, and Plato. I would want Hitler there so I could get into his head, and find out what he was thinking during World War. Einstein, because I want to know how his brain worked and how he could be so smart. Mitt Romney, because I want him to ne the next president, and I believe he can change the government. Great Grandma Boyer, because i want to know what her life was like during the depression, and how the world has changed during her life time. Lastly, Plato because he wanted society governed by the wisest philosophers, not by the richest or most powerful.
ReplyDelete2. The historical topic we would discuss would be, the current issues facing American Society. Hitler and Plato would give leadership advice. My Great Grandma Boyer would talk about how to stay away from having another depression. Einstein would give statistics of the results of good and bad. Mitt Romney would just listen to it all and put it into action if he becomes president.
3. I would serve Vegetarian Lasagna with garlic bread, because Hitler was a vegetarian.
4. I would host the event at my house, so the guests could see how an average American lives today.
1. If I were to have a dinner party I would choose Billy Mays and Elvis Presley as my two dead people because almost everyone loved them for what they did as a living, I would invite Daniel Tosh as my living person because he is funny, and I would invite Solon because he sounds like a smart philosopher and helped bring democracy into existance.
ReplyDelete2.I would talk about how democracy came about how how different is was back then from how it is now.
3.I would serve a little of each of my guests favorite foods just to have some variety at the table.
4.I would host the event at my own house so my dead guests can see what dinner is like in modern day society.
1. At my dinner party with 2 dead people, 2 living, and one from prologue 1 reading, I would invite Lucille Ball, Chessmaster Savielly Grigorievitch Tartakower, Michael Grant, Chad Kroeger from Nickelback, and Aristotle. I would invite Lucille Ball because I liked her character in I Love Lucy and Chessmaster Tartakower because I like his quote “Victory goes to the player who makes the next-to-last mistake.” I would invite Michael Grant because I love his series called The Gone Series and Chad Kroeger from Nickelback because I love the band and the meaning behind the songs they sing. I would invite Aristotle because I think what he studied is cool and might be fun to study it myself.
ReplyDelete2. The topic we would talk about at the dinner party would be on the Civil War. I would say that they could have come to an agreement or a compromise before they decided to declare war. Lucille would try to make the sadness and the terror of the war go away with making jokes about it so the rest of us can forget how horrible it was and Chessmaster would say basically what his quote says. Michael would say it happens and that every society comes to war eventually and Chad would probably write a quick song and make us listen or state a line or two from one of his songs that fit with the topic. Aristotle would come up with some conclusions that led them to do what they did when they did and try to think the way people from both sides were thinking.
3. For dinner I would serve Mexican food because I can’t choose what out of the Mexican food I would sever so that way we all can choose what we want instead of just having one thing.
4. I would host my dinner party at Big Bear Lake because I like the weather there and how it’s relaxing and how cool the town is there.
At my historical dinner party, I would invite important dead people, Joseph Smith, and Jesus Christ. I would invite the important living people, Roy Khan, and Scott Stapp, and for my Greek Philosopher, I would invite Plato.
ReplyDeleteJoseph Smith is the founder of Mormonism. Jesus Christ is the founder of christianity. Roy Khan, is/was the lead vocalist for the band, "Kamelot," known for singing about atheist concepts. Scott Stapp is the lead vocalist for "Creed," a band known for singing about christian concepts. Plato, was a Greek philosopher, who believed in a concept of "Realism," about religion. I would chose these people, because I would be curious to see the founders/supporters in a room with each other, and to see how they react.
We would discuss the creation of the world, the meaning of life, the concept of an afterlife. Again, It would be interesting to see all these differing opinions discussing these issues.
I would serve pork for dinner. I don't think that any of the religions attending have anything against pork….. Do they?
I would host the event, if i could anyways, in space. To observe the massive celestial bodies while discussing this topic. It would be a dinner full of very interesting conversation. Too bad it isn't realistic.
